Top o’ the mornin to ya! Wow, I hate myself. I hope everyone enjoyed their St. Patty’s Day festivities. As someone who is very Irish (read: reddish hair and pale/easily sunburned skin) it’s one of the few days I am happy to be from the land of potatoes. Anyways, I’m not here to talk about green beer or that nonsense, I wanted to talk about something that I’ve been working on lately… partnerships.
As any “influencer” will tell you, partnerships are key to reaching and growing your audience. However, there’s a reason you haven’t (and never will) see me with a certain watch or a teeth whitener. See, while I don’t have tons of companies knocking on my door (read: inbox) I do turn down about 90% of the pitches I get. It’s not because I don’t like them, it’s because I want my partnerships to be longterm and beneficial to both parties. I’m not looking for one-offs or free products, I want to build relationships with companies that believe in what I’m doing.
This doesn’t just apply to brands btw, it also goes for people. If there’s one thing I love, it’s a great collaboration. You’ve seen a few of them on my site from time to time, and these are people I’ve truly connected with. They either have rescued their own pets or want to help some get adopted. From photographers to other creatives, I want to partner with people who want to make an impact. Special shout outs to a few of my favorite partners in crime… Margaret Rajic, Katie Koosmann, Roxy Yang, and Olive.
I’m always looking for people and companies that have similar goals/beliefs. I’m picky about brands I work with but it’s because I want you, as my reader, to trust I’m not trying to sell you things you don’t need.
So why did I decide to write this post? Well, it just so happens that I get to finally tell you about my partnership with Evereve. Yes, the company where I get a majority of the clothes I post on this blog (here, here, aaand here). I’ve shopped at Evereve for at least 10 years now and it’s my go-to store for both myself and gifts for others. I love that the founder is a woman and a mom and created a career for herself. So, when Evereve reached out to me about their #EEpassionproject, I about fell off my chair.
The campaign is all about pursuing your passions which is right up my alley. You know all about how I’m chasing my dreams and they saw a good fit for the both of us. It wasn’t something I forced, it’s a company I completely support. Now they want to hear how you’re pursuing your passions. Oh, and they’re giving away a $500 gift card too. Cha-ching. More details can be found here, but in summary, upload a pic to Instagram of you in your favorite Evereve outfit and share how you’re pursuing your passions. Use the hashtags #EEPassionProject and #Evereve and tell everyone how you’re chasing your dreams. Don’t forget to tag me so I can see your pics and passions too!
Instagram can be a very superficial world, I get that. With influencers clamoring for free products and sponsored posts, I can see why people are hesitant to trust bloggers. By working with people and brands that want to make a social statement, I hope you’ll trust me. Because pets are my passions and I will do what’s right by them.
What are your passions? How are you pursuing them? Let me know in the comments below.
THE RESCUE:
Welp, this post is going to be quick because Joe found his forever home!! He’s a collie mix and all sorts of perfect. Congrats Joe! If you’re looking for a similar pup, check out Brody!
THE STYLE:
Now, I was not in the market for a dress, nor do I actually love buying dresses. But when I need a dress, I can never find one (you feel me?) So when I tried this on and it was the cutest, I decided I needed it. For this partnership, Evereve gifted me this dress and I cannot wait to wear it out soon. Shop the look below!
xoxo,
Christine
